Major countries, such as the United States and the euro area, have encountered heightened levels of inflation subsequent to the economic crisis precipitated by the pandemic.

Consumer price inflation in those countries reached its peak in 2022 and subsequently experienced a swift deceleration over the following 12 months.

However, in January 2024, inflation rates in both the U.S. and in the euro area experienced a partial rebound.

To ascertain the specific situation, we conducted an analysis of the factors influencing the trends in inflation rates in the U.S., the euro area, and Korea.
