설명

Dracma is an Ancient Greek currency unit, and Tetra dracma was equivalent to four dracma. This silver coin was produced in Athens during the Golden Age of Ancient Greece (454~404 BC), from winning the Greco-Persian Wars to losing the Peloponnesian War to collapse. The Athenian Tetra dracma was stamped with Athena, the Goddess of War and a guardian of Athens, on the obverse, and on the reverse the image of the owl, the symbol of wisdom. A crescent for the moon and a sprig of olive were placed around the owl's head, and the three syllables which stands for "of the Athenians" on the right. The coin found wide usage for trade in the Mediterranean Region.
